The Amina app will become mandatory for Uzbek citizens in Moscow

Starting September 1, 2026, Uzbek citizens who have reached the age of 18 and arrived in Moscow or the Moscow region without a visa for stays of more than 90 days and who do not intend to find employment will be required to register in the Amina app. This requirement applies, in particular, to students and adult family members of migrant workers.

To register for migration purposes, foreigners will need to register in the app, consent to the processing of personal data and the transfer of geolocation, and notify the Ministry of Internal Affairs of their actual place of residence.

If a change of address occurs, the information must be updated within three business days. If the app does not transfer geolocation data for more than three business days, the foreigner may be deregistered. If there are no legal grounds for continued stay, their information will be added to the register of controlled individuals.

This change does not affect foreigners under 18, Belarusian citizens, diplomats, employees of consulates and international organizations, or their family members.

As a reminder, starting September 1, 2025, use of the Amina app will become mandatory for Uzbek citizens arriving in Moscow and the Moscow region for employment.
