2026 China-Central Asia Uzbekistan Trade Expo to be held in Tashkent

Organized at the initiative of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the 2026 China-Central Asia Uzbekistan Trade Expo will grandly take place on October 14–16 at the Tashkent Exhibition Centre. Following the success of the inaugural exhibition held in 2025, this event is being organized in Uzbekistan for the second consecutive year. Its main objective is to create a specialized, high-level platform for trade, economic, and business cooperation between China and Central Asia, and to foster industrial synergy and trade partnership between the two sides.

The year 2026 marks the tenth anniversary of the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Uzbekistan. This year also aims for high-quality development of cooperation between China and Central Asia. On August 31, during the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, the leaders of the two countries reached an important agreement to jointly build a new "golden decade" of China–Uzbekistan relations. Currently, guided by the "China–Central Asia spirit," both states adhere to the principles of openness, tolerance, cooperation, and mutual benefit, while consistently expanding cooperation opportunities in areas such as trade liberalization, industrial investment, and green development. All of these have laid a solid foundation for this expo.

This year's exhibition is being further refined based on the successful experience of the first expo. Taking into account the complementary aspects of Chinese and Uzbek industries, the main focus will be on relevant sectors such as industrial automation and robotics, new energy vehicles and their spare parts, and artificial intelligence. Rich in content and unique in character, the exhibition features three key highlights.

First, the quality and efficiency of the exhibition are being consistently enhanced, and the layout of the exposition areas is being adapted to industrial development trends. This year, the indoor exhibition area will cover 4,000 square meters, alongside an allocated outdoor exhibition space of 800 square meters. Participating enterprises will come from 19 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the central government of China. Five specialized exposition areas will be set up focusing on smart manufacturing, green energy, consumer electronics, trade in services, and new energy vehicles, showcasing the latest achievements in developing new quality productive forces. They directly correspond to the priority areas of economic development and industrial modernization in Uzbekistan and other Central Asian countries.

In addition, a special national image exhibition titled "China of Opportunities" will be organized for the first time. It will demonstrate China's achievements in high-level open economy, the favorable business environment across the country's regions, and advanced smart technologies. Furthermore, an interactive experience zone dedicated to traditional Chinese culture will be set up, offering visitors the opportunity to directly participate in activities. Thus, an immersive visiting environment combining "viewing the exhibition – enjoying the exhibits – participating in the interactive experience" will be created.

Second, the exhibition gathers leading enterprises, bringing advanced innovative achievements together in one place. Nearly 200 high-potential Chinese enterprises have been selected to participate, among which specialized, refined, unique, and innovative enterprises, as well as high-tech enterprises, account for more than 30 percent. The participants include industry-leading companies such as CAMCE, Yonyou Network, and Focus Technology, as well as leaders in niche specialized fields such as Lanxin Robotics, Zhengzhou City Unites Steel Industrial Co., Ltd., and LAISAI.

The share of enterprises operating in advanced fields such as artificial intelligence applications, energy storage systems, and cross-border e-commerce services has increased significantly compared to the previous expo. They will demonstrate the newest achievements and advanced models of Chinese enterprises in technological innovation, green and low-carbon development, and digital transformation. While clearly highlighting the core competitiveness of Chinese industry, this will also assist Central Asian states in adopting advanced technologies and refining their industrial systems.

Third, the events within the framework of the expo are rich in practical content and serve to precisely align supply and demand. The exhibition is organized as a comprehensive international cooperation platform that integrates product display, business negotiations, acquaintance with services, and technology exchange. In order to enhance its practical effectiveness, a series of events will be held, including the China–Uzbekistan Investment Cooperation Forum, special matchmaking meetings on trade and economic cooperation, and B2B business negotiations between enterprises. Trade and economic delegations from China's Shaanxi, Xinjiang, and other regions will organize separate trade and economic presentation meetings, facilitating in-depth dialogue and targeted cooperation negotiations between supply and demand parties.

Based on the principles of mutual openness and mutually beneficial cooperation, the expo serves to comprehensively deepen bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, and industry. Along with being an important pathway for Chinese enterprises to enter Central Asian markets, this exhibition is a crucial platform for enterprises from Uzbekistan and other Central Asian countries to closely understand China and seek cooperation opportunities. By creating multifaceted bridges for practical cooperation, the expo will provide a strong impetus to elevate trade and economic ties between China and Uzbekistan to a qualitatively new level, helping to jointly build a new "golden decade" in relations between the two countries.
