It is worth noting that in the ranking of the 10 banks with the most negative performance in terms of complaints in the first quarter of 2026, the Business Development Bank was in first place with an index of 3.34.

The complaints index is determined by dividing the bank's market share by the number of complaints by the market share by the number of customers. This indicator shows how high the share of appeals is in relation to the bank's customer base and allows comparing banks of different sizes.

This index does not assess the financial stability or reliability of the bank, but only reflects the share of appeals received in relation to the number of customers. The index is not calculated for banks that received fewer than 100 appeals during the quarter.

Banks were recommended to conduct a thorough analysis of the reasons for the appeals received, improve their review processes, and strengthen measures aimed at protecting the interests of customers.

Earlier, it was reported that in the first half of 2026, the net profit of commercial banks in Uzbekistan increased by almost 4.5 trillion soums.
