Teenage cyclist dies after hit-and-run collision

A teenager has died after a hit-and-run collision in Nugentstown, County Meath in the Republic of Ireland.

A young man has passed away following a hit-and-run incident in County Meath, Republic of Ireland.

The collision, which involved a van and a bicycle, took place at approximately 8:05 PM local time on Tuesday in Nugentstown, Kells, according to An Garda Síochána.

Authorities reported that the van did not stay at the scene of the accident, where the teenage cyclist was pronounced deceased.

The coroner has been informed, and the road is still closed to traffic.

Gardaí are urging anyone who witnessed the event or possesses camera footage, such as dash cam or mobile phone recordings, to provide this material to them.
