Tashkent to host Asian Table Tennis Championships for first time

Tashkent will host the Asian Table Tennis Championships for senior players for the first time from October 19 to 25, with 255 athletes from 33 countries set to compete at the Olympic City.

Tashkent will host the Asian Table Tennis Championships for the first time. Medals will be contested in four events: men’s and women’s singles, doubles, mixed doubles, and team competitions.

The team events will also act as a qualifying tournament for next year’s World Table Tennis Championships in Kazakhstan, with teams vying for spots at the global event.

Uzbekistan will be represented by 10 players at the home championships.

The national team will start its final training camp on October 12, preparing together with the national teams of North Korea and Kyrgyzstan.
