**Tashkent International Financial Centre becomes full member of WAIFC**
The Tashkent International Financial Centre (TIFC) has been admitted as a full member of the World Alliance of International Financial Centers (WAIFC), receiving its first international recognition before its official launch. The WAIFC Board made the decision at a meeting in Busan on September 15.
WAIFC unites financial centres from across the globe, including London, Frankfurt, Luxembourg, Dubai, Hong Kong, Busan and Astana. The group serves as a platform for cooperation among international financial centres and promotes the sharing of expertise and best practices in the financial sector.
Tashkent has taken part in WAIFC activities since 2022 and previously held observer status. Becoming a full member broadens its role in the Alliance and gives it access to research, expert programmes and cooperation initiatives.
According to the information provided, full membership will allow the Tashkent International Financial Centre to draw on international practices in areas such as financial regulation, investor protection and the creation of modern financial instruments.
TIFC will also be able to join joint research and expert programmes carried out within the Alliance, creating opportunities to exchange experience with other member financial centres.
This membership is the first international recognition of the Tashkent International Financial Centre ahead of its official launch. It is also expected to help the centre integrate into the international financial community and strengthen cooperation with established financial hubs.
The development of TIFC is part of Uzbekistan’s efforts to build a new financial platform and deepen ties with international financial institutions and markets.
As a full WAIFC member, the Tashkent International Financial Centre will take part in the Alliance together with other member financial centres and contribute to its joint work in financial-sector development, research and the exchange of expertise.
