Tashkent buses carried a record number of passengers on September 15
On September 15, more than 1.52 million passengers used Tashkent buses — a record figure of all time. The previous record was recorded on February 5 — 1.4 million passengers. The metro carried 1.16 million passengers.
On September 15, Tashkent buses set a new record for the number of passengers carried — 1,520,113, the Road Traffic Organization Center reported. This figure is 109,564 passengers, or 7.8%, higher than the previous record recorded on February 5, when 1,410,549 passengers were carried.
On that day, 1,675 buses operated on 170 routes, completing 22,174 trips.
The Tashkent Metro carried 1,160,612 passengers on September 15. The highest passenger traffic was recorded at the stations "Chinor", "Sergeli", "Choshtepa", "Almazar", "Chilanzar", "Buyuk Ipak Yuli", "Dustlik", and "Beruni".
"Choosing public transport is a contribution to relieving congestion on the capital's streets, preserving the environment, and saving time," the city's Main Department of Transport stated.
