Tashkent apartment buildings to undergo energy audits with World Bank participation
Apartment buildings in Tashkent will undergo energy audits involving World Bank specialists. Experts will assess the technical and energy condition of the buildings, identify sources of heat loss and develop solutions to address them.
Tashkent apartment buildings will undergo energy audits with the participation of the World Bank, the city hokimiyat (administration) said.
The buildings chosen for inspection are those that were heated in violation of regulatory requirements during the previous heating season.
The audit will assess the technical and energy condition of the buildings, including exterior walls, roofs and basements, doors and windows, internal heating systems, and the efficiency of heat use.
Foreign specialists will also carry out instrumental measurements, determine the main causes of heat loss in each building, and prepare technical solutions to eliminate them, the city hokimiyat said.
Following the energy audits, a methodology for efficient heating of apartment buildings in Tashkent is planned to be developed. It will take into account the technical condition and energy efficiency of buildings, the level of heat loss, and other indicators.
According to the city hokimiyat, the methodology will be used as a basis for evaluating building energy efficiency, identifying those in need of modernization, and developing measures to reduce heat loss and ensure the efficient use of electricity and natural gas.
