State shares of 18 markets to be put up for sale in Uzbekistan
In Uzbekistan, state shares of 18 markets will be put up for public auction in 2026–2027 as part of the privatization of state and state-owned enterprises.
This is stipulated in the president's decree of August 28 on reducing state participation in the economy and accelerating privatization processes. According to the document, a total of 62 share packages are planned to be put up for public auction.
The list includes state shares of 51 percent of "Namangan avto megastroy savdo kompleksi", 51 percent of "Ixtisoslashtirilgan qurilish mollari savdo kompleksi", 68 percent of "Yashil dehqon bozori", 51 percent of "Do‘stlik savdo sanoat kompleksi", 51 percent of "Chust dehqon bozori", 51.42 percent of "Yangiqo‘rg‘on dehqon bozori", and 51 percent of "To‘raqo‘rg‘on markaziy dehqon bozori" in Namangan region.
In Samarqand region, state shares of "Toyloq dehqon bozori", "Samarqand innovatsion avtomobillar bozori", and "Gulobod yog‘och savdo kompleksi" will be put up for sale. The state share in each of them is 51 percent. In Surxondaryo region, state shares of 51 percent of "Lolazor Denov Barakat" and 54.6 percent of "Jarqo‘rg‘on dehqon (oziq-ovqat) bozori" will be put up for auction.
In Tashkent region, 51 percent of the state share of "Qibray dehqon bozori" will be privatized, and in Fergana region, state shares of 51 percent of "Farg‘ona Yusufjon Fayzi qurilish mollari savdo kompleksi", 51 percent of "Rapqon dehqon bozori", 52.1 percent of "Yakkatut dehqon bozori", 51 percent of "Beshariqlik Umarovlar fayzi", and 51 percent of "Beshariq Turon sanoat savdo kompleksi" will be privatized.
According to the decree, some buyers will also be given the opportunity to pay in installments when purchasing state assets. In particular, buyers who pay at least 35 percent of the purchase payment within three months, or 50 percent within six months, will be given the opportunity to pay the remaining amount interest-free over five and seven years, respectively. A buyer who pays 100 percent of the asset value within six months will receive a 25 percent discount on the total amount.
It is also established that if state assets are not sold within three months, their starting price will be gradually reduced by up to a maximum of 10 percent. Assets that remain unsold for two months can be re-offered for sale by dividing them into lots or combining them.
Based on this document, shares of 62 enterprises with state participation will be put up for public auction in 2026–2027. In particular, 98.9 percent of the state share in JSC "Turonbank" will also be privatized. State shares of 79.27 percent of the International Cooperation Center in Tashkent city and 91.83 percent of JSC "Oʻzekspomarkaz" will be put up for sale.
