Spend or save: the importance of teaching financial literacy from childhood
InfinBANK, in collaboration with the "Yangi Asr Avlodi" publishing house, implemented a social project aimed at improving children's financial literacy. As part of this project, a special book "Money. Financial knowledge for children" was created, which introduces young readers to the basics of handling money and helps them form useful financial habits from childhood.
The presentation of the book took place on August 19 at 18:30 at the "Teatr+" venue. This was not just a literary event, but a real family holiday that combined educational, creative and entertainment programs.
InfinBANK Deputy Chairman of the Board Polat Salimov noted:
"Financial literacy begins to form long before a child gets his first bank card or begins to independently manage money. It is in childhood that habits are formed that determine a person's future financial relationships. Therefore, our task is to talk to children about money in a simple, understandable and interesting language. It is for this purpose that we decided to support the publication of the book and thus contribute to the education of our children. Some of the books will be distributed to children's libraries and schools. Books can also be purchased at the stores of the "Asr Avlod" publishing house."
Elvira Gimadiyeva, Director of the Marketing and Customer Experience Department of InfinBANK, said about the origin of the project idea:
"The idea for this project arose after the Central Bank held the "Bank and Education 365" forum last year, dedicated to financial literacy and education. Meetings were organized with leading publishers as part of the forum, and it was then that we began to discuss ways to make conversations about finances understandable and interesting for children. We chose the "Yangi Asr Avlodi" publishing house as a partner and together with them developed and implemented the idea of creating a book. It was important for us not just to publish a book, but to create a truly useful and understandable guide that would help children form the right attitude towards money from a young age. Today, it is very gratifying to see that this idea has grown into a full-fledged social project that unites the bank, the publishing house, specialists, and most importantly, children and their parents."
A unique feature of the presentation was the preparation of a special program for the whole family. The organizers aimed not only to provide guests with entertainment, but also to form the foundation of financial culture in the younger generation, to instill in children a love for the characters and plot of the book so that they would be interested in reading it even before they opened the first page. The children immersed themselves in the world of finance in a playful way: they went through a financial quest, watched a theatrical performance, and participated in an entertainment program.
This project continues InfinBANK's work in the field of social and educational initiatives, reflecting the bank's desire to contribute to the formation of a financially literate generation.
