Sindorov and Assaubayeva are leaders in the FIDE Circuit rating

**Sindorov and Assaubayeva lead the FIDE Circuit rankings**
The International Chess Federation (FIDE) has announced the updated rankings of chess players for the 2026 FIDE Circuit.
Following the Saint Louis Rapid & Blitz 2026 and Sinquefield Cup 2026 tournaments of the Grand Chess Tour series held in the United States, Uzbek grandmaster Javohir Sindorov rose to first place. American chess player Wesley So, who won the Sinquefield Cup 2026 tournament, took second place. Uzbekistan's number two grandmaster Nodirbek Abdusattorov fell to third place after an unsuccessful participation in the Esports World Cup tournament in France.
There were also significant changes in the FIDE Circuit women's rankings. Bibisora Assaubayeva of Kazakhstan retained her top spot at the Cairns Cup tournament in the United States. Zhu Jiner of China took second place, and former leader Vaishali Rameshbabu took third place.
Uzbek grandmaster Afruz Khamdamova entered the top ten of the rankings after her successful performance at the Asian Women's Championship.
For information, the top FIDE Circuit ranking will qualify for the 2028 Candidates Tournament.
