Shavkat Mirziyoyev to participate in SCO summit in Bishkek

As part of the summit, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will hold a number of bilateral meetings with the heads of foreign delegations.

At the invitation of Kyrgyz President Sadir Japarov, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a working visit to Kyrgyzstan to participate in the next meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the meeting in the “SCO Plus” format, which will be held in Bishkek from August 31 to September 1.

According to the presidential press service, the summit agenda includes topical issues related to the further development of multifaceted cooperation within the SCO and improving the organization's activities. Issues of international and regional cooperation will also be discussed.

At the end of the meeting, it is planned to adopt the Bishkek Declaration dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the SCO, as well as a package of documents aimed at expanding partnership in security, economy, transport, ecology, artificial intelligence, cultural and humanitarian exchanges and many other areas of cooperation.

Within the framework of the summit, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will hold a number of bilateral meetings with heads of foreign delegations.

In accordance with the program of the visit, the Uzbek leader will also participate in the opening ceremony of the VI World Nomad Games.
