At the beginning of the conversation, the FIFA President particularly noted Uzbekistan's football achievements and the results of the effective reforms being implemented, aimed at comprehensive support for sports in our country.
The key topic of discussion was the hosting of a major and prestigious sporting event in Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan — the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
The fruitful cooperation with FIFA in promoting joint programs to popularize football, primarily among youth, was noted with great satisfaction.
The parties reviewed issues of further expanding the partnership, primarily in the areas of transforming the system of football organization and management, assisting in the discovery of young talents, and training coaches, referees, managers, sports doctors, and technical specialists at the international level.
Special attention was paid to organizing major FIFA tournaments and events in Uzbekistan, as well as accelerating the opening of the federation's regional office in the city of Tashkent.
