Police say one man has been arrested, while several other local schools have been locked down.

A sword assault at a high school in Sweden has left multiple individuals injured, according to local officials.
Authorities reported the arrest of one man following the event at Brinell School in Fagersta, located in central Sweden. Law enforcement was dispatched to the scene shortly after 2:00 PM local time (1:00 PM BST) on Friday. Some Swedish media outlets have indicated that the suspect was shot in the leg by police.
The Fagersta council did not provide an exact count of the injured but confirmed that police were conducting a search of the premises and that eight other schools had been placed on lockdown. Police have assured the public that there is no ongoing threat.
Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson characterized the attack as a "serious incident" in a post on X, stating, "we do not know what lies behind the act, but we know that police are working very intensively."
