Scots denied bail after arrests in Australia ketamine raid

Jack Farrelly and Demi McDaid face charges of supplying a prohibited drug in a large and indictable quantity in Sydney.

Two Scottish individuals were denied bail after being apprehended in Australia in connection with a ketamine raid. Demi McDaid and Jack Farrelly were arrested subsequent to a police operation at a North Sydney hotel.

The pair, identified as 30-year-old Jack Farrelly and 23-year-old Demi McDaid, are facing charges of supplying a prohibited drug in a large and indictable quantity. Their arrest occurred last month at a hotel in North Sydney.

New South Wales police officers discovered 105kg of a substance suspected to be ketamine in the trunk of a rental car located in the hotel's car park.

Farrelly and McDaid made a brief appearance at the Downing Centre local court in Sydney on Tuesday, where their application for bail was denied. They are slated to return to court on September 11.
