Russia tops Uzbekistan’s export markets
Uzbekistan’s exports reached $19.9 billion in January-July 2026, with Russia, China and Afghanistan recording the largest shares, the National Statistics Committee said on September 10.
Russia was Uzbekistan’s largest export market, the report said.
Exports to Russia reached $2.8 billion, followed by China with $1.7 billion and Afghanistan with $1.1 billion.
Shipments to Kazakhstan totaled $868 million, while exports to France came to $854.9 million. Hong Kong, a Special Administrative Region of China, accounted for $716 million.
Exports to Türkiye stood at $596.2 million, while those to the Kyrgyz Republic and Tajikistan were $575.8 million and $437.5 million, respectively. Exports to the United Arab Emirates totaled $420.8 million.
Taken together, the 10 countries made up more than half of Uzbekistan’s total exports during the period.
Earlier, the agency reported that tourist arrivals from China to Uzbekistan increased 2.3 times from January through August 2026, the biggest rise among the country’s main tourist markets. Arrivals from Malaysia doubled, while those from Japan rose 1.5-fold, from the United States by 40%, and from Russia by 30%. Tourist arrivals from Germany climbed 25%, while France and the UK each posted 21% growth, and Türkiye recorded a 15% increase.
