Russia strikes Kharkiv region: five killed
According to Ukrainian officials, an artillery strike by Russian troops on the village of Bugayevka in the Kharkiv region destroyed a house and killed five people. At least 14 people were injured in the strikes on the city of Sumy.

The Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office reported that Russian troops shelled the village of Bugayevka in Chuguyev district with artillery. As a result of this attack, a residential building was destroyed and five people were killed.
In a statement posted on Telegram on August 10, the prosecutor's office noted that the strike was carried out in an area where residential buildings are located.
According to Oleg Sinegubov, head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, 24 settlements in the region were shelled by Russia with various weapons over the past 24 hours. He noted that nine people were injured as a result of these attacks. In addition, many civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged or completely destroyed. In particular, farms, enterprises, shops, private and multi-storey residential buildings, granaries and administrative buildings were damaged.
Meanwhile, on the night of August 10, the Russian Armed Forces carried out five airstrikes on civilian infrastructure in the city of Sumy with guided bombs. According to the head of the Sumy regional state administration, Oleg Grigorov, at least 14 people were injured in these attacks to varying degrees.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported that on the night of August 10, a large-scale airstrike was carried out on the territory of the country. According to the Ukrainian side, during the attack, Russian forces used a Kh-59/69 guided aviation missile, three Banderol barrage munitions, as well as a total of 126 Shahed and Gerbera attack and target-deflecting drones.
Ukrainian air defense units reported that they shot down or suppressed 92 drones and three Banderol barrage munitions using radio-electronic means. At the same time, 31 attack drones were reported to have hit targets in 22 areas, and fragments of downed devices fell in two more places. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the Kh-59/69 aircraft missile launched by Russia did not reach its target as a result of air defense and other countermeasures.
