Russia attacked Zaporizhzhia with aerial bombs, 24 people killed (video)

Russian troops launched an aerial bomb strike on the settlement of Komyshuvakha in the Zaporizhzhia region. As a result, 18 people were killed and five more were injured. This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Later, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that the death toll had reached 24 people.

According to Zelenskyy, the attack targeted a school used for humanitarian purposes, where humanitarian aid was being distributed to local residents.

"After the first strike, nine more aerial bombs were dropped on the shelter where people were taking cover," Zelenskyy said.

He emphasized that it is impossible that the Russian military did not know that the remaining residents in Komyshuvakha receive humanitarian aid at this exact location every week.

Zelenskyy stated that this attack shows Russia has no intention of de-escalating the situation and achieving peace. According to him, hope for achieving peace had emerged after the humanitarian operation in Oleshky, but Russia's attack demonstrates the opposite.

According to local authorities, 27 people are missing following the strike.

Russia and Ukraine had agreed on a temporary ceasefire in the Oleshky area to evacuate civilians and deliver humanitarian aid. The ceasefire lasted from October 27 to November 1 at 10:59 PM. According to AFP, Ukraine proposed extending the ceasefire period, but Russia did not agree to it.
