Russia and Kyrgyzstan to create a single mobile operator

Russia and Kyrgyzstan have agreed to create a single mobile operator. This was announced by the head of the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund Artyom Novikov at an economic forum of the two countries.

The implementation dates and other details of this project have not yet been disclosed. The head of the Russian Ministry of Digital Development and Mass Communications assessed this initiative as one of the most important projects in the field of digitalization of the two countries.

After the launch of the new system, subscribers will be able to use mobile communications and Internet services in both countries without changing SIM cards and paying roaming fees.

According to Artyom Novikov, "an agreement has been signed between Kyrgyzstan and Russia to create a single mobile operator. This will significantly facilitate travel and communication between citizens of the two countries."

Following the economic forum, more than 40 documents worth more than $800 million were signed between Russia and Kyrgyzstan. These documents include projects for the construction of solar power plants and the development of Kyrgyzstan's railway infrastructure. It is also planned to increase the capital of the Russia-Kyrgyzstan Development Fund to $1 billion.
