Rubio: It was a great honor for me to receive an order from the hands of Shavkat Mirziyoyev
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that during his meeting with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, they discussed issues of economic cooperation, job creation, and security. He also stated that he received the Order "Buyuk Xizmatlari Uchun" (For Outstanding Services) from the hands of the President.

According to Rubio, during the meeting, he expressed sincere gratitude to the government of Uzbekistan for organizing the "C5+1" format dialogue in the historic city of Samarkand.
During the talks, joint efforts to expand economic opportunities and create jobs in the two countries were discussed. Special attention was also paid to strengthening security cooperation and mutual engagement within the framework of the "C5+1" diplomatic platform.
"It was a great honor for me to receive the Order 'For Great Services' from President Mirziyoyev," the US Secretary of State emphasized.
The "C5+1" format brings together the five Central Asian states — Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan — and the United States. This dialogue format was launched in Samarkand in November 2015.
