ROX Group plans to allocate 1.5 billion dollars for the construction of Uchtepa City in Tashkent

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the founder of the Vietnamese company ROX Group, Anh Tuan Tran, on September 11. According to the press service of the head of state, the meeting reviewed the company's investment projects in real estate, energy, the financial sector, and tourism.

ROX Group is a diversified investment group established in Vietnam in 1996, operating in real estate, energy, banking, the hotel business, and services.

The priority areas of cooperation in Uzbekistan were identified as urban and industrial infrastructure development, renewable energy, geology, the financial sector, and tourism. At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to accelerate the implementation of existing and new projects based on a "road map."

Deputy Khokim of Tashkent Sharof Rakhmonov said in an interview with the "Uzbekistan 24" TV channel that cooperation with ROX Group in the capital is planned in two main areas — construction and finance.

In particular, it is proposed to build a new Uchtepa City complex on an area of 37 hectares in the Uchtepa district.

"In the field of construction, we plan to implement the Uchtepa City project on an area of 37 hectares in the Uchtepa district. The project envisages the construction of modern business and entertainment centers, residential buildings, and a completely new infrastructure," said the deputy khokim.

According to him, the project value is estimated at 1.5 billion dollars.

"Through its implementation, it is planned to create about 20,000 new jobs over approximately three years," Rakhmonov said.

Following the meeting, ROX Group founder Anh Tuan Tran stated that the company intends to implement "large-scale, long-term, and sustainable investment projects" in Uzbekistan.

"We aim to implement large-scale, long-term, and sustainable investment projects in Uzbekistan. We believe these initiatives will further strengthen economic cooperation between Vietnam and Uzbekistan and contribute to the development of both countries," he said.

According to the businessman, ROX Group is considering three main areas in the country.

The first is real estate, including the construction of housing, commercial facilities, hotels, and industrial parks. The second is energy.

"We want to provide the country with sustainable energy sources by building solar power plants and coal-fired thermal power plants," said Anh Tuan Tran.

The third area will be financial and banking services. He noted that the company has identified a number of projects in these sectors.

"After we presented our proposals and plans to the President, he expressed his strong support for their implementation. Now we have the opportunity to move to the practical stage," said the founder of ROX Group.

Projects in the real estate sector are planned to be implemented not only in the Uchtepa district of Tashkent, but also in the Bukhara and Samarkand regions.

Anh Tuan Tran also highlighted the rapid development of Uzbekistan's banking system compared to other Central Asian countries.

In December 2025, the president announced plans to build Uchtepa City on an area of 37 hectares.

At that time, the project value was estimated at 1 billion dollars. It envisaged the construction of a modern hotel, business centers, a shopping and entertainment complex, and apartments.
