Cristiano Ronaldo continues his march toward the 1,000th goal of his career. Overnight on October 30, the Portuguese forward netted a hat-trick in Al-Nassr's 5:3 victory against Al-Kholood in the latest round of the Saudi Arabian championship.
The match against Al-Kholood started unluckily for Ronaldo. The 41-year-old forward found the back of the net twice in the first half alone, but both goals were disallowed for offside. Al-Nassr also faced serious resistance: the visitors opened the scoring in the 16th minute through a goal by Julien Domingues. Ângelo and Sadio Mané put the hosts ahead with their goals, but on the stroke of halftime, Loïc Essomba restored balance — 2:2.
In the second half, Cristiano took center stage. In the 66th minute, João Félix broke into the penalty area and played a low pass to his compatriot, who was standing practically in front of an open goal. Shortly after, the same attacking tandem worked again: this time Felix delivered an aerial cross, and Ronaldo won the header to slot it into the empty net.
In the 81st minute, he managed to score his third goal of the match. In a swift counterattack, Mané went one-on-one with the goalkeeper, but instead of shooting, he passed to his teammate in a more favorable position. Cristiano sent the ball past the defenders with a precise strike. In stoppage time, Domingues converted a penalty to set the final score — 5:3.
For Ronaldo, this was the 67th hat-trick of his career: he has scored three goals in 57 matches at the club level, while another ten hat-tricks belong to his career with the Portugal national team. Prior to this, the last time he scored three goals in a single match occurred in May 2024 against Al-Wehda (6:0).
Félix also put on a high-level performance that day. The 26-year-old midfielder provided four assists: two for Ronaldo, and one each for Ângelo and Mané. João has scored three goals and delivered seven assists in ten matches overall this season.
