Ronaldo described Portugal's Nations League start in three words

Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo posted on social media after the team's start in the 2026/2027 UEFA Nations League. The Portuguese national team defeated Wales 1-0 in their first match.

"First step taken," Ronaldo wrote on his X social media page.

The forward started the match in the starting lineup and was substituted in the 67th minute of the game. His goal in the second half was disallowed due to offside.

Portugal will play three more matches in the Nations League in September and October.

Jorge Jesus's men will face Norway on September 27 in Oslo and on October 4 in Porto, as well as Denmark on October 1 in Copenhagen.
