Residents of Surkhandarya Region felt an earthquake with its epicenter in Afghanistan

Residents of the Surkhandarya region felt an earthquake, the epicenter of which was located in Afghanistan. The tremors were recorded on October 1 at 06:29.

According to the Republican Center for Seismic Forecasting Monitoring, the magnitude of the earthquake was 5, and the depth was 128 kilometers. The epicenter was located in the Baghlan province of Afghanistan.

On the territory of Uzbekistan, tremors with an intensity of 2 magnitude were felt in the Surkhandarya region, 180 kilometers from the epicenter. The distance to Tashkent is 589 kilometers in a southwesterly direction.

Last Monday, September 28, an earthquake of magnitude 3.6 occurred in the Pskent district of the Tashkent region. The tremors were felt in several cities and districts of the region at once.
