Ramzan Kadyrov urged Chechens to trim their beards

Ramzan Kadyrov called on Chechens to trim their beards

During a meeting with the heads of security agencies, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, called on men in the republic not to make a habit of wearing long beards and short trousers. He noted that the youth are following this very trend.

"They have turned long beards and rolled-up trousers into an incomprehensible fashion. And the younger generation is starting to imitate them. My appeal to them is to trim your beards and grow them in accordance with religion," Kadyrov said.

Kadyrov also complained that men have turned beards into a "strange fashion." According to him, such people do not go to mosques. They wander the streets day and night and distract the minds of the youth.

At the same time, the regional leader noted that some women are also adopting the Arabic style of dress, completely covering their faces with a niqab. He called on women to dress in accordance with national traditions.

"They should also be urged to dress in accordance with Islam, without adopting the Arabic style of dress. A burqa has never been worn here," he added.

It is noted that despite his public statements supporting the war, he actually does not agree with the Kremlin's interests in Ukraine. It is also stated that Kadyrov actually understands the situation very well and has no desire to sacrifice his people for the "Russian world."
