PROMOMED opens legal entity in Tashkent
Russian biopharmaceutical company PROMOMED has established PROMOMED-PHARMA in Tashkent to expand local operations and pharmaceutical supplies.
PROMOMED, a biopharmaceutical firm, has launched a dedicated legal entity in Tashkent, officially named ООО “PROMOMED-PHARMA.”
This new local presence is intended to foster greater collaboration with medical professionals, the pharmaceutical sector, and business associates, while also securing consistent medicine supplies to Uzbekistan.
Eduard Kasyan, PROMOMED's Executive Director, stated that the new operation will hire local talent. The company anticipates this will generate high-value employment opportunities and equip local staff with professional expertise and knowledge aligned with international benchmarks.
Representatives from PROMOMED-PHARMA will manage registration processes and liaise with Uzbekistan's regulatory bodies. This move is expected to expedite the introduction of contemporary medicines to the local market, particularly in the fields of metabolic disorders, endocrinology, and oncology.
PROMOMED is also in the process of establishing its own pharmacovigilance service within Uzbekistan. Furthermore, the company is developing informational support initiatives for doctors and pharmacists, encompassing educational programs, scientific gatherings, and engagement with the professional community.
According to PROMOMED, the creation of a local legal entity will facilitate more direct engagement with participants in Uzbekistan's pharmaceutical market and guarantee a sustained presence for the company's products in the nation.
Founded in 2005, PROMOMED will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2025. PJSC Promomed's ordinary shares are traded on the Moscow Exchange under the ticker PRMD.
The company's infrastructure includes its own R&D center and the advanced Biokhimik pharmaceutical plant. PROMOMED's portfolio comprises over 360 medicines spanning 10 key segments of the pharmaceutical market.
