Primark moves further into online shopping with home delivery plans

Primark has announced plans to introduce a home delivery service in Britain, four years after its first move into e-commerce.

The retailer said it has purchased a fulfilment facility in Sheffield that will allow it to send products directly to homes.

Primark did not begin selling goods online until 2022, when it introduced a click-and-collect service that still required shoppers to travel to collect their purchases.

The company said home deliveries offered an "opportunity for profitable growth" and could help lift trade after Primark reported subdued sales following the recent hot weather.
