Parking zones for passenger convenience are planned near Tashkent Metro stations located near the Tashkent region. Experts are currently working with the capital's administration to select suitable areas. This was reported by Yuldash Yusupov, Deputy Head of Tashkent Metro JSC, in an interview with Kun.uz.

This project is designed to provide comfortable conditions for Tashkent residents and visitors, allowing them to leave their cars at stations and then continue their journey by metro. According to Yusupov, this will allow them to park their vehicles safely and reach their workplaces on time.

In addition, switching to the metro instead of a personal car should help reduce household fuel costs. This will allow passengers to combine the use of personal and public transportation.

The areas around Olmazor station on the Chilanzar line and Turkiston station on the Yunusabad line are being considered first. Experts are currently identifying optimal locations, which are planned to be integrated with the corresponding metro lines.

For passengers who will leave their cars in the parking lots and continue their metro journey, the possibility of offering various fare concessions is also being explored.

"If our citizens, that is, passengers, leave their cars in the parking lot and take the metro, they will be offered various concessions, or, as they say, discounts, to make their metro journeys cheaper," Yusupov explained.

The parking arrangements are being carried out in cooperation with the Tashkent city administration.
