Pakhtakor may be left without Artykhodjaev's financial support.

Pakhtakor Football Club is at risk of losing the financial support of Jahongir Artikhodjaev, an entrepreneur and former mayor of Tashkent. Rumors have circulated on social media that he has stopped funding the team.

Neither Pakhtakor nor Artikhodjaev himself have provided official comments on the matter.

Reports of Artikhodjaev's possible withdrawal of financial support emerged on Saturday, August 22, alongside the news of Dilshod Karimov's resignation as Pakhtakor's vice president.

According to reports, all of the club's previous debts have been repaid. However, there is no information yet on who will assume the team's future funding and how this will impact its internal structure.

Earlier, Pakhtakor and Neftchi learned their opponents in the AFC Champions League group stage. Future opponents include Saudi Arabian clubs Al-Nassr, featuring Cristiano Ronaldo, and Al-Hilal, as well as the current holders of other top Asian football titles.
