New flights will connect cities in Uzbekistan with Kazan.

New air routes will connect cities in Uzbekistan with Kazan.
In late August and early September, new flights from Tatarstan to cities in Uzbekistan will be launched, offering passengers the opportunity to fly directly from Kazan to Samarkand and Namangan.
The first route will begin operations on August 26, when flights from Kazan to Samarkand will begin. Namangan will be added on September 5. Nordwind Airlines will operate these flights.
The airline noted growing interest in Uzbekistan among Russian tourists. Following the launch of regular flights from Kazan to Tashkent, the carrier decided to expand its route network by adding two more Uzbek cities.
Passengers from Moscow and St. Petersburg will also be able to reach Samarkand and Namangan via a transfer at Kazan's Gabdulla Tukay Airport.
As a reminder, Nordwind Airlines has been operating direct flights to Tashkent from Kazan Airport twice a week since July. Several other airlines also operate on this route. In addition, Uzbekistan Airways operates flights from the capital of Tatarstan to Samarkand and Fergana.
