Negotiations with Finnish investors and pension funds took place at the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan

On September 4, Advisor to the Minister of Economy and Finance Zhasur Karshibaev held a meeting with representatives of major international institutional investors.

The negotiations were attended by representatives of the State Pension Fund of Finland, the mutual pension and insurance companies Ilmarinen, Elo, and Veritas, as well as the organizations SOKA-BAU and Aktia Bank Oyj.

During the conversation, the foreign party was presented with detailed information on the economic and structural reforms being implemented under the leadership of the President of Uzbekistan, as well as on the current macroeconomic situation and development prospects of the republic. The investors highly praised the transformations taking place in the country and the work on developing the domestic financial market.

Foreign investors expressed interest in entering Uzbekistan's government treasury bond market. Within the framework of the meeting, the parties discussed in detail the opportunities of the domestic financial market, issues of further improving the country's sovereign credit rating, achieving an investment-grade rating, effective public debt management, expanding financing opportunities in the national currency, and developing the local capital market.
