Nearly one million people evacuated in China due to Typhoon Delphin
About 1,500 flights were canceled in Shanghai.
Nearly a million people have been evacuated from their homes in China due to Typhoon Delphin.
According to Reuters, Typhoon Delphin has made landfall on China's eastern coast. The strongest impact is expected to hit the coast of Yuhuan. Heavy rains have fallen in many parts of the coast. The wind speed in the center of the storm reached 42 meters per second.
Nearly 1 million people have been evacuated from coastal areas due to the typhoon. About 1,500 flights have been canceled in Shanghai.
Earlier, the typhoon hit Okinawa Prefecture in Japan. Six people were injured there and about 50,000 people were left without electricity.
