Narbaeva and Satyarthi Discuss Protection of Children’s Rights
Chairwoman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbaeva met with Asmita Satyarthi, director general of the Satyarthi Movement for Global Compassion, on the sidelines of the 12th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Samarkand, the Senate’s press service said.
The two sides discussed ways to further expand humanitarian cooperation.
Special attention was paid to opportunities for sharing experience and organizing joint seminars, expert meetings and parliamentary discussions on protecting children’s rights and supporting children in need of social protection.
They also exchanged views on further strengthening the role of women in society, supporting young women leaders and developing social leadership.
