Elon Musk has promised to give one share of the SpaceX corporation to every American child.

Neither Musk nor SpaceX has yet disclosed the details of the planned event.

"Next year, I will give one of my SpaceX shares to every American child. And this is just the beginning," Musk wrote on X.

Musk owns 6.4 billion shares of SpaceX. This accounts for slightly less than half of the company's total shares. Currently, there are approximately 72 million minors in the US.

According to the latest trading on the NASDAQ exchange, the price of 1 share of SpaceX is $146. Thus, the total value of the shares Musk is expected to distribute to children exceeds $10 billion.
