Mukhsinkhuzha Abdurakhmonov has headed the Migration Agency
The President has relieved Bekhzod Musaev of his post as Director of the Migration Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan in connection with his transfer to another job. Mukhsinkhuzha Abdurakhmonov, who had been serving as Ambassador to Japan since July 2021, has become the new head of the agency.

Musaev has been relieved of his post as director of the Migration Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan. The corresponding decree was signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, his press secretary Sherzod Asadov announced. The document states that he is transferring to another job.
The president appointed Mukhsinkhuja Tursunkhujaevich Abdukhmonov, who has served as Uzbekistan's ambassador to Japan since July 2021, as the new head of the agency.
He is 52 years old. He graduated from the Tashkent State University of Economics (1996), completed an internship at California State University, Chico (USA) (1994–1995), and also studied at the Academy of State and Social Construction under the President (1996–1998).
From 1998 to 2001, he was a master's student at Otaru University of Commerce (Japan), and from 2001 to 2004, a doctoral student at Hokkaido University (Japan). From 2006 to 2008, he worked as a research fellow at the same university.
From 2004 to 2006, he held the position of manager at Coca-Cola Uzbekistan LLC, and from 2008 to 2017, he was the general director of MTRUST (Japan).
From 2018 to 2021, he served as deputy khokim of the Fergana region — head of the department of investments and foreign trade, and then briefly headed the investment department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
Bekhzod Musaev (born 1973) took charge of the Migration Agency in September 2024. Prior to that, he was the Minister of Employment and Poverty Reduction. He also served as Minister of Health, Deputy Prime Minister for Social Development, and Chairman of the Chamber of Accounts and the State Tax Committee.
