In January–September 2026, citizens of Uzbekistan were issued loans worth 20.9 trillion soums under the mortgage program.

This is 5.9 trillion soums, or 39%, more than in the same period last year.

A total of 67,598 people received mortgage loans. This was reported by the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The volume of funds issued accounts for 91% of the plan for 2026, which provides for the allocation of 23 trillion soums in mortgage loans.

The program is funded from three sources: 12.2 trillion soums from the state budget, 7.8 trillion soums from the commercial banks' own funds, and 3 trillion soums from the funds of JSC Mortgage Refinancing Company of Uzbekistan.

Of the loans issued since the beginning of the year, 12.8 trillion soums, or 61%, were financed from the state budget. Another 6.1 trillion soums, or 29%, came from commercial banks' funds, and 2 trillion soums, or 10%, from the company's funds.

In the nine months, 15.5 trillion soums were allocated to the primary housing market.

The number of loans issued in this market grew from 37 thousand in January–September 2025 to 49.8 thousand in January–September 2026. In the secondary market, the volume of mortgage lending reached 5.2 trillion soums, which is 28% more than a year earlier.

As of October 1, 2026, subsidies totaling 1,208.1 billion soums were paid out for mortgage loans. Of this amount, 800.3 billion soums, or 66%, went toward compensating loan interest.

The remaining 407.8 billion soums, or 34%, were paid to 13,722 citizens as a down payment for the purchase of housing.
