In the first seven months of 2026, Mobiuz launched over 180 new 4G LTE base stations in these two regions. These efforts resulted in a significant increase in subscriber internet traffic.

According to Mobiuz, modern tourists constantly use the internet for navigation, online translation when communicating with sellers, cashless payments, posting reviews and stories, and making video calls home.

Tourist traffic has its own specific characteristics: it concentrates in certain places and at certain times, such as the Registan, Gur-e-Emir, Shah-i-Zinda, Lyabi-Khauz, Ark, and many other attractions. This creates peak network loads in limited areas, which is taken into account during the planning stage when installing new stations or upgrading existing ones.

**Importance for Local Residents**

The Samarkand region is the most densely populated region in the country, home to nearly 4.4 million people. The Bukhara region has a population of over 2.1 million. This population density places special demands on network infrastructure.

Local traffic has its own rhythm, peaking in the evenings when people return home and focus on studying, watching TV series, video calling relatives abroad, paying utility bills, and working remotely.

Therefore, the network must withstand both daytime tourist peaks in city centers and evening subscriber peaks in residential areas.

**Data Volume as a Key Indicator**

Transferred data volume is an objective indicator of network development that cannot be embellished. It reflects the actual internet consumption of subscribers.

Mobiuz subscribers in the Bukhara region have reached a historic high, consuming over 4 million gigabytes of mobile internet per month. To put this into perspective, this is equivalent to 4 million hours of video calling or 456 years of continuous talk time.

In the Samarkand region, consumption is even higher – 10 million gigabytes per month, which is 2.5 times more than in Bukhara and comparable to watching 6.7 million movies.

**Future Plans**

Technical work in the Bukhara and Samarkand regions, as well as in other regions of the country, continues. New facilities are being launched, the capacity of existing stations is being expanded, and frequency resources are being gradually converted to 4G LTE.
