Mirziyoyev holds talks with Vietnamese vice president on the sidelines of Asia confidence-building summit
On the sidelines of the summit of the Council on Cooperation and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia, Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Vietnamese Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan.
The two sides discussed practical ways to deepen and broaden mutually beneficial ties between their countries.
At the beginning of the meeting, the head of the Vietnamese delegation conveyed greetings and best wishes to Mirziyoyev from To Lam, general secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam’s Central Committee and the country’s president.
Both sides voiced satisfaction with the rapid progress in Uzbekistan-Vietnam relations. Trade is steadily increasing, and regular contacts are being maintained at various levels.
They pointed to wide opportunities for joint projects in petrochemicals, electrical engineering, textiles and agriculture. They also exchanged views on urgent regional and international issues.
