A state-of-the-art shooting sports complex and gymnasium officially opened on August 1 at a military base within the Fergana Garrison, under the Ministry of Defense. The Ministry’s Department of Information and Mass Communications confirmed the inauguration.

Construction of the facility, which was financed by the provincial military-administrative sector, commenced in September 2025 and concluded in July 2026. The modern complex boasts a classroom for theoretical instruction, dedicated administrative and instructor offices, and a contemporary shooting range featuring 20 individual lanes. The venue is capable of hosting up to 20 athletes and trainees concurrently.

Attendees at the event witnessed live practical shooting drills, training exercises conducted with advanced photoelectric simulators, and engaging exhibition performances. Officials also provided updates on current provincial initiatives and achievements in the realm of shooting sports development.

The ministry reported, "Currently, 184 young people in the Fergana province regularly participate in shooting sports." They added, "The launch of this new complex will further popularize the sport, support talented youth, and drive the advancement of military-applied sports across the province."
