Mercedes-Benz has presented a significantly updated version of its C-Class model. According to the company's press service, this is the largest technical update in the history of the model.

Changes in the exterior of the car are immediately noticeable: the radiator grille is now complemented by a central star and surrounding lights.

The main innovations are located in the interior of the car: it has received the MB.OS operating system. This system allows you to update many built-in functions and offers an enhanced user interface. ChatGPT, Microsoft Bing and Google Gemini are integrated into the system. The MBUX virtual assistant is able to conduct multi-stage conversations, save the content of the conversation, answer common questions, search for places of interest and even select music based on an incomplete description or text fragment.

The equipment includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a vertically oriented 11.9-inch central display, Google-based navigation, as well as a head-up display with augmented reality technology (borrowed from the S-Class and EQS models). In addition, there is a Burmester audio system with 15 speakers and support for Dolby Atmos.

The engine is a modernized two-liter, four-cylinder turbo engine with a 48-volt hybrid system. The gasoline engine produces 255 horsepower and 400 N m of torque. The hybrid circuit includes an integrated starter-generator (adding up to 23 hp and 205 N m of power) and a new electric auxiliary compressor for more precise response at low revs. A short-term boost function can provide an additional 27 horsepower for about 20 seconds.

Battery capacity – 19.53 kWh, electric range – up to 100 km. It can be charged with up to 11 kW of alternating current or quickly charged with up to 55 kW of direct current. Optionally, there is also a rear-wheel steering function (steering angle – up to 2.5°): this reduces the turning radius by 43 cm (up to 10.64 m) and increases stability at high speeds.

The suspension system has been retuned, noise insulation has been enhanced, and the aerodynamic drag coefficient has been reduced to 0.24. The complex of driver assistants and parking systems is based on eight cameras, five radars and 12 ultrasonic sensors.

The MB DRIVE Parking Assist 360 system with a camera and improved displays showing the surroundings has been included in the standard equipment. A new reversing maneuvering function has also been added: the car can automatically reverse along a part of the previously traveled route - this is very convenient when exiting narrow passages or awkward parking spaces.

Additional options include Digital Light headlights based on micro-LED technology: according to the company, they provide a wider and more detailed light field and consume 50% less energy. The exterior is complemented by new bumpers, headlights and taillights with a "star" pattern, as well as different wheel designs.

For the first time, the AMG Line Plus package is offered for the model: it includes a Night package, a glossy black spoiler and covers for the exhaust pipes, as well as sports seats with red stitching and brightly colored seat belts.
