Malaysia and Uzbekistan have reached an agreement to hold the Halal Fest in Tashkent.
According to Podrobno.uz, the Uzbek capital is scheduled to host an international forum and exhibition called the Malaysia-Uzbekistan International Halal Fest 2027. Representatives of the two countries discussed the possibilities of organizing this event during a meeting at the Ministry of Agriculture.
The project, proposed by the Malaysian company TWOJ CREATIVE SDN BHD, aims to develop the halal industry, strengthen international business ties, and create new investment projects.
The festival will include an international exhibition, a business forum, B2B meetings, specialized exhibits dedicated to halal products, tourism, finance, and manufacturing, as well as investment sessions and product presentations.
During the talks, the parties discussed improving the halal certification system in accordance with JAKIM standards, facilitating the entry of local producers into global markets, and organizing educational seminars for farmers and entrepreneurs. To ensure the festival's high level, a joint roadmap will be developed with the participation of ministries, agencies, higher education institutions, and representatives of the business community.
