According to the Tax Committee, from January to June 2026, 651,300 consumers in Uzbekistan took advantage of the social VAT cashback program, receiving a total of 179.2 billion soums.
The largest payments were recorded in the Andijan region, where the refund amounted to 96.3 billion soums. Residents of Tashkent received 15.2 billion soums, and those in the Samarkand region received 14 billion soums.
The social cashback is intended for citizens registered in the Unified Register of Social Protection. When purchasing certain goods in retail stores, they receive a 12% VAT refund, as opposed to the standard 1% cashback.
The social cashback program was launched on May 1, 2023. To receive your payment, you must scan the receipt's QR code using the Soliq mobile app.
