Le Parisien: Mbappé Kidnapping Plot Uncovered
In France, an 18-year-old man, already serving a sentence for pimping and robbery, is suspected of orchestrating a series of robberies and attempted kidnappings planned for the period from April to August 2026. Among the gang's alleged victims, according to Le Parisien, were businessmen, rapper, and Real Madrid and France national team forward Kylian Mbappé.
A man named Clement was charged with organized armed robbery on August 21. He attempted to challenge his arrest and solitary confinement. However, on September 2, during his appeal hearing, a prosecutor stated that the defendant was "involved in a new case involving a famous rapper and footballer."
A source for the newspaper reported that the gang leader gave instructions to his accomplices by phone from prison. Police found 26 addresses of wealthy singers, football players, and businessmen in the phones seized from the criminals.
This man had previously been tried and convicted for drug-related offenses and violent robbery.
Kylian Mbappé, the all-time leading scorer in World Cup history, has been playing for Real Madrid since 2024.
