Law on Entrepreneurship: 8 Key Changes

Protection from unjustified inspections, a unified register of mandatory requirements in the field of entrepreneurship, and the legal integrity of privatization results – Uzbekistan signed Law No. ZRU-1168 (dated August 17, 2026), changing the rules of the game for entrepreneurs.

Law No. ZRU-1168, signed in Uzbekistan on August 17, 2026, introduces significant changes to the regulation of entrepreneurial activity, addressing such aspects as protection from unjustified inspections, the creation of a unified register of mandatory requirements, and ensuring the legal integrity of privatization results.

This document redefines the interaction between business and the state, providing entrepreneurs with new guarantees and preferences.

One of the key innovations is the enshrinement of the basic principles of guaranteeing freedom of entrepreneurship. A new chapter has been added to the Law "On Guarantees of Freedom of Entrepreneurial Activity" that establishes these fundamental principles.
