James Cameron was born on August 16, 1954 in Kapuskasing, Canada. George Lucas's "Star Wars" inspired him to become a professional filmmaker. In 1978, he and his school friends filmed a short film called "Xenogenesis". His first full-length film was "Piranha 2", a sequel to the film "Piranha".

In 1984, Cameron released the film "Terminator", which made him famous as a director. Two years later, in 1986, he filmed "Aliens" and in 1989, "The Abyss". From 1991 to 1994, he appeared in films such as "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" and "True Lies."

In 1997, the film "Titanic" premiered, which won 11 Oscars. By 2010, "Titanic" had broken the record for the highest-grossing film in film history with the director's next film, "Avatar." In 2022, "Avatar: The Way of Water" was released, and in 2025, "Avatar: Fire and Ash."

Cameron is also a producer and screenwriter of films such as Point Break, Strange Days, Solaris, and Sanctum.
