Kazakhstan has tested its first unmanned air taxi with a passenger on board. This test flight, which took place in Astana, marks a significant step forward in the development of advanced urban transportation in the country.
According to the Civil Aviation Committee, these aircraft will initially be used on tourist routes. In the future, unmanned air taxis could be used for passenger transportation, medical delivery, and emergency and rescue missions.
In addition, Kazakhstan is exploring the prospects of establishing domestic production of such aircraft and gradually developing the necessary infrastructure for their operation.
