Kazakhstan plans to send up to 500 thousand tons of wheat to Israel.
Kazakhstan is considering the possibility of delivering 500 thousand tons of wheat to Israel. The products may be shipped through a transport corridor passing through Azerbaijan and Georgia, or via Baltic Sea ports. This initiative was put forward at a meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation held in Jerusalem. The proposal was made by Samat Tenbayev, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the "Food Corporation".
Taking into account the needs of the Israeli market, the Kazakh side expressed its readiness to conclude long-term contracts for the supply of 200 thousand to 500 thousand tons of wheat and other agricultural products.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Kazakhstan's products are exported to more than 80 countries around the world, including countries in Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. At the end of October, the ministry announced that Kazakh farmers harvested 24.3 million tons of grain based on the harvest results. This figure is 10 percent lower than last year.
For reference, in 2025, 422.6 thousand tons of wheat flour worth $124.6 million were imported into Uzbekistan from 8 foreign countries. Kazakhstan was the largest supplier, sending 399.8 thousand tons of products. Russia and Tajikistan take the next places — 22.1 thousand and 425 tons, respectively.
