Japan deported an Uzbek citizen for visa violation
The Japanese Embassy announced the deportation of an Uzbek citizen who was in the country illegally and warned of employment and refugee status scams.

An Uzbek citizen was deported from Japan for visa violations.
According to the Japanese Embassy in Uzbekistan, the Japanese Immigration Agency expelled an Uzbek citizen who was in the country illegally.
The deported citizen entered Japan on a short-term visa but overstayed, leading to his subsequent detention by authorities.
The Embassy emphasized that illegal stay or work in Japan is punishable by strict penalties, including police detention, arrest, detention in an immigration center, and subsequent deportation.
The Japanese government informs the Uzbek government of such violations, which may result in additional measures against violators upon their return home. The Embassy strongly urged citizens to exercise vigilance and not fall for offers to "work in Japan."
The Embassy also refuted the common misconception that applying for refugee status in Japan allows one to stay or work in the country for an extended period. Submitting such an application for this purpose is prohibited. If refugee status is denied, the applicant may be placed in an immigration detention center or deported.
Providing false information or using fraudulent methods when applying for refugee status may lead to serious legal consequences.
