In the Qashqadaryo region, tax officials who embezzled taxpayers' money have been exposed. A pre-investigation inquiry was conducted by the Qarshi city department of the Department under the General Prosecutor's Office.
The investigation revealed that the state tax chief inspectors of the Qarshi city tax inspection, M.A., Sh.T., and others, received 122.6 million soums from 97 taxpayers under the pretext of clearing tax debts, but instead of crediting these funds to the taxpayers' personal accounts, they embezzled or misappropriated them.
Regarding this situation, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 167 of the Criminal Code (theft by embezzlement or misappropriation), and investigative actions are underway.
