From September 2 to 8, the annual Museum Week is taking place in Uzbekistan.

The Cultural Heritage Agency announced that during this period, admission to all 114 state museums within the agency's system, including museum-reserves and house-museums, will be free. The promotion does not apply to foreign tourists.

"Museum Week is a wonderful opportunity to get acquainted with the history, art, and national heritage of our country, as well as to learn many new things about unique exhibits and ancient monuments," the agency noted.

In addition, state museums in Uzbekistan can be visited free of charge on the first Sunday of every month.
